The monthly-budgeting module gives you a more powerful way to approach the budgeting process. You can really fine-tune the amount you budget towards each category, see what you carryover in each category each month, and deal with any variations in income you might have on a month-by-month basis.

If you are using Wallet1000 to track your spending then this is probably the budgeting option you want to use.

Note that by default the amount you budget in a category will automatically carry over to the following months unless you specifically enter a different amount for a future month.
